Com, muita emoção que recebemos o anúncio de que o Piaui venceu o prêmio de melhor projeto de PPP do mundo, organizado pelo Fórum Internacional de PPPs da UNECE/ONU. Obrigado! 🙏🏽

"Here is the announcement by the Executive Secretary on the winners and join runners up: 881 votes were cast by the participants for the UNECE Building Back Better infrastructure award 2021 and the winner is the project from Brazil (a fruit and vegetable market in the State of Piaui), closely followed by the joint runners up from Spain (light rail train in Tenerife) and the Philippines (regional development programme in Caraga). It is clear that the Forum participants recognise these projects for their multiple impacts that are truly People-first and Build Back Better. They address the challenge of poverty, the creation of local jobs, health, food security, waste, the use of renewable energy and their aspiration to be carbon neutral, sustainable mobility and getting people to use public transport, and provide real solutions on the ground, combining social, environmental, and economic criteria. We need far more of these projects for Building Back Better."
